We are committed to protecting and enhancing biosecurity, biodiversity, genetic purity, and the ecosystem. In particular, our efforts towards the endangered Native Irish Honey Bee (Apis mellifera mellifera) are paramount in our endeavour. By strategically creating safe zones in urban areas for our Native bees, we can help protect them from the ever-emerging threats they face.
Threats to Native Bees
- Lack Of Green Areas (Bee Gardens) in Urban Areas.
- Decrease in Bess’s availability to survive in Urban Areas.
- Increased urban development affects bees’ foraging capabilities.
- Teardown of Bee Safe areas for development.
